Accountant Sought for USAID-Funded Project
The East-West Management Institute, Inc. seeks an Accountant for a five-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The Good Governance Activity Project in Montenegro (GG Activity) will work to improve the business enabling environment, enhance civil society’s ability to monitor progress of public administration reforms, and improve transparency and accountability of the judicial system. The GG Activity will be based in Podgorica.
Professional responsibilities will include all project financial activities such as accounts payable functions, expense reports, payroll, bank account reconciliations, budgeting and financial monitoring and reporting.
The successful candidate will possess:
- University degree in accounting, finance, or related field;
- A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in professional accounting and financial management;
- Strong computer skills, in MS Excel and computerized accounting packages;
- Fluency in Montenegrin;
- Good spoken and written English language skills;
- Good knowledge of Montenegrin accounting, payroll tax and benefits regulations;
- Some experience with international-funded organizations is preferred.
