EWMI ORGANIZES CORPORATE GOVERNANCE ROUNDTABLE IN POLAND

EWMI’s PFS Program partnered with the European Social Investment Forum (Eurosif), the Warsaw Institute of Banking, the Polish Bank Association and the Polish Institute of Directors to organize a roundtable on “Responsible Investment: Sustainable Corporate Governance.” The event promoted greater practical understanding of the impact on investments of corporate policies and practices relating to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. The program covered the relationship of ESG conduct to issues ranging from fiduciary duty to extra-financial analysis. With the growing institutionalization of financial markets in Central, Southern and Eastern Europe, the organizing partners believe that this is the right time to highlight the relevance of ESG issues for financial markets and, in particular, for long-term institutional investors.
