SEGIR COMMERCIAL LEGAL AND INSTITUTIONAL REFORM (CLIR) INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT (IQC) (2004 – 2009)
The Support for Economic Growth and Institutional Reform (SEGIR) Commercial Legal and Institutional Reform (CLIR) IQC seeks to address a potentially broad range of commercial law issues. Accordingly, EWMI has brought together a team with extensive expertise in international commercial law, consisting of leaders in many of the subspecialties that may be addressed under the CLIR IQC. EWMI’s approach to the CLIR IQC is characterized the following guiding principles of an open and participatory process; integrated project design; commitment to local capacity building; leveraging international standards; dynamic monitoring and evaluation; and innovative information sharing and knowledge management. EWMI looks forward to collaborating with EGAT, Missions and other CLIR contractors to develop new projects that will create more streamlined and enforceable legislative frameworks, support stronger institutions to protect private property rights, combat corruption, and foster more favorable investment climates in the emerging markets covered by the CLIR program.
